Emel Ernalbant portrait and food photographer, she based in London, working globally for international publications and clients.
She was born and grown up in Istanbul, studied Radio and Television Programming and worked for Turkish Vogue, GQ, Conde Nast Traveller, Travel+Leisure, TimeOut Istanbul and many others.
After the Syrian war, she moved to the Syrian border of Turkey and run a darkroom project. The district Mardin's most vulnerable with refugees and impoverished families who are mostly pushed out by established communities.
She's since spent the last 10 years shooting everything from commissioned celebrity portraits, to travel assignments, in-depth documentary features and development work in the field for NGOs. She also works in the commercial and advertising sector producing campaigns and content for clients on international campaigns, especially in travel and lifestyle.
