About Me
Emel Ernalbant is a portrait and food photographer based in Manchester, working globally for international publications and clients.
She was born and raised in Istanbul, studied Radio and Television Programming, and worked for Turkish Vogue, GQ, Conde Nast Traveller, Travel+Leisure, TimeOut Istanbul, and many others.
After the Syrian war, she moved to the Syrian border of Turkey and ran a darkroom project. The district of Mardin is most vulnerable to refugees and impoverished families who are mostly displaced by established communities.
She lived in Mardin for five years and then moved to the UK.
She is a founder of Greens & Others Community Cookery School CIC which runs plant-based cooking classes in Manchester to encourage people to grow, cook and eat more plants.
